Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has heaped praise on Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following Nigeria’s dramatic penalty shootout victory over Egypt in the AFCON 2025 third-place playoff.
Nigeria secured the bronze medal after a tense 0-0 draw at the Stade Mohammed V, winning 4-2 on penalties to claim a record-extending ninth third-place finish in Africa Cup of Nations history.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali once again proved decisive, saving two spot-kicks to swing the shootout in Nigeria’s favour.
