'Make him happy!' — Netizens tell Atalanta the secret to keep Lookman scoring after ending UCL drought
Netizens have shared what they believe is the secret to keeping Ademola Lookman in top form after the Nigerian star ended his Champions League goal drought in spectacular style, sparking lively reactions online.
Lookman scored one and assisted another as Atalanta thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 at Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday night.
The Nigerian international’s performance marked his first Champions League goal of the season and showed why he remains a decisive player for former Europa League winners Atalanta.
The match was the debut for Atalanta’s new coach Raffaele Palladino, who took over from Ivan Juric amid some inconsistent domestic results.
Despite the pressure, Lookman shone brightest in the second half, after some tips from his new coach at the break.
After a goalless first period, he broke the deadlock by arriving unmarked to finish a precise cross from Charles De Ketelaere. Minutes later, his dribbling skills were on full display to set up Éderson for the second goal before De Ketelaere completed the scoring late on.

Lookman’s goal and assist were key to keeping Atalanta’s hopes alive in the UCL group stage. He also created two chances, completed 86% of his passes, and dazzled with his dribbling before being substituted to a standing ovation in the 82nd minute.
Fans message Atalanta
Fans flooded social media with advice and encouragement, telling Atalanta to “make him happy” to keep Lookman delivering at the highest level.
“Make him happy and he will deliver like he delivered the Europa. Thank you once again for sacking that failure of a coach who assaulted Adémọ́lá,” one fan stated emphatically.
Another added; “This great guy has a name ... Put a gold platted crown on his name and some respect.... He's delivered for you over the years.”
The message is clear: nurturing the Super Eagles winger’s confidence and freedom on the pitch could be the secret to ending Atalanta’s nightmares this season and pushing deeper into the knockout stage in the Champions League.
