NBL: City Oilers too good for Our Saviour, KIU Rangers dominant over Stormers
Game week three of the 2024 National Basketball League got off to another round of enlivening men's and women's action at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo, on Wednesday.
In the men's end, defending champions City Oilers put up another show of sheer dominion, trumping Our Saviour 74-38.
The nine-time winners made their intentions clear from the onset and opened a 23-10 lead after the opening quarter.
The difference grew more extensive as the game wore on, and it was a 24-point gap at halftime as the Oilers led 43-19.
By the end of the third quarter, Our Saviour had given up on the chase, and the Oilers were cruising with a 62-30, before eventually winning by a 36-point difference.

City Oilers drew massive inspiration from Fayed Baale, who put up a Player of the Game show with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.
On the other hand, in the women's category, KIU Rangers were comfortable 76-57 victors over the Magic Stormers in the night's opening match.
From a 37-20 lead at halftime to a 55-37 gap in the third quarter before eventually winning it with 19 points, the Rangers meant business on the night.
The night's results imply that City Oilers and KIU Rangers have won two successive games in the men's and women's divisions, respectively.
