Galatasaray secured a stunning 1-0 victory over Liverpool in their UEFA Champions League group stage match at RAMS Park on Tuesday night.

Returning to the starting lineup after a month-long ankle injury was the Nigerian international, who scored the game's only goal from the penalty spot. 

His composed finish past Alisson Becker earned the Turkish champions their first win of the tournament.

Following the final whistle, Osimhen and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk were seen exchanging shirts in the mixed zone, as shared on X. 

The moment highlighted the mutual respect between the Champions League-winning defender and the striker known for delivering in crucial moments.

For Osimhen, it was another successful outing against an English club in European competition, extending his goal tally against them. 

He has now scored four goals in five appearances against Premier League sides, an impressive record for a striker.

The victory was a crucial response from Galatasaray after their heavy loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday One. 

The result handed Liverpool their second consecutive defeat this season, having lost to Crystal Palace at the weekend.
