Mourinho’s connection with Ratcliffe fuels speculation
Speaking ahead of Fenerbahce’s Europa League clash against Rangers, Mourinho was asked about the changes at Manchester United under the new INEOS leadership.

“I see him as a good person, great businessman. I feel for some people losing their jobs hopefully it goes in the right direction”, told Sky. pic.twitter.com/AOqTew4H2g
In response, Mourinho said, "I don't know much about what's happening at Man United... I know Sir Jim Ratcliffe. We have a good relationship. I see him as a good person, great businessman."
Those words were enough to set social media alight, with United fans calling for Mourinho’s return. The club has been in turmoil under Ratcliffe’s partial ownership, struggling under new head coach Ruben Amorim.
With nine wins and nine defeats in their last 20 matches, United sit a shocking 14th in the Premier League and have been eliminated from all domestic cup competitions.
Mourinho focused on Fenerbahce mission
The club’s only hope for silverware this season remains in the UEFA Europa League, where they will face Real Sociedad in the Round of 16.
Many supporters believe Mourinho, the last United manager to win that competition, could be the man to restore stability at Old Trafford.
Despite the swirling rumors, Mourinho remains committed to his current job at Fenerbahce. The Istanbul giants are locked in a fierce battle for the Super Lig title with arch-rivals Galatasaray, and Mourinho is also eyeing another deep run in the Europa League.
However, controversy continues to follow him as he was recently accused of making racist remarks toward Galatasaray. Still, the former Manchester United boss remains focused on ending Galatasaray’s dominance in Turkish football and adding more European silverware to his collection.
