Managers dump Haaland despite Champions League haul
Erling Haaland is one of the recent price fallers on Fantasy Premier League, hours after his five-star performance against Leipzig in the Champions League.
The 22-year-old Manchester City striker is the top-scoring asset in FPL this season with 203 points and has been a mainstay in the squads of many FPL managers, enjoying an above 80% ownership rate. However, managers are starting to seek alternative options, leading to a price dip.
Haaland’s price fall
FPL released a fresh list of price fallers this morning, and Haaland was a conspicuous addition, as it comes hours after he scored a record five goals in a game in the Champions League against Leipzig, helping Manchester City advance to the next round of the competition.

Although Haaland’s form has dipped compared to his explosive start to the season and his FPL point return has waned, as he has only returned double digits twice in his previous 10 gameweeks, managers are dropping Haaland because of the blank gameweek.
He has fallen from 12.2 million to 12.1 million on FPL, and his fall could continue.
Why managers are dropping Haaland
Manchester City are blanking in gameweek 28, as they have an FA Cup fixture this weekend against Burnley. No Premier League game means unavailability on FPL.
With gameweek 28 also serving as a double gameweek, managers are transferring out assets who blank this gameweek for those who will be doubling.
