Man united better under Solskjaer than Ten Hag — Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas isn't holding back on his views about Manchester United's current state under Erik ten Hag, contrasting it starkly with the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer days. 

According to Fabregas, United had their game on lock with a clear game plan under Ole, but now, things seem to be unraveling without a clear strategy under Ten Hag.

Dishing out his thoughts on the Planet Premier League podcast, Fabregas pointed out the stark differences between the two managerial eras, saying, "I have to say as well that I don't know the numbers, but with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] there were some good big games.”

“They used to have a structure, they had a plan. At least you saw a plan, which was to defend well and have great breaks and this is exactly what Manchester United don't have at the moment." It's a clear nod to the past when United had a discernible approach to their game, something Fabregas feels is missing now.

Fabregas didn't mince words about United's recent woes, especially after the Fulham debacle, saying, "Looking carefully at the counters that Fulham did to them and the way they were done, it makes the alarm bells go for a very, very long period of time." 

His critique goes deep, questioning the tactical solidity of Ten Hag's side, which seems vulnerable, especially on the counter. It's a significant concern that Fabregas believes needs urgent attention, especially with the high-stakes Manchester derby on the horizon.

With Solskjaer's tenure marked by a clear identity, despite its challenges, Fabregas's critique shines a spotlight on United's current tactical ambiguity under Ten Hag.
