Liverpool's manager Klopp 'pleased' with win over hardworking Nottingham Forest
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed satisfaction with his side’s hard-fought victory against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Klopp made the statement after the Reds were forced to dig deep to overcome the stubborn Nottingham Forest in the Premier League at Anfield.
Liverpool defeated Forest 3-2 in a keenly contested encounter which saw Mohammed Salah bail out the Kops in the end.
The home side took the lead twice but let it slip as Forest hit back before Salah netted the decisive winner 20 minutes from time to break the hearts of the visitors.
Klopp lauds Liverpool's win
After the win, Klopp was relieved man after he saw his side labour against the relegation side at home.
Speaking after the game, the German noted that he was pleased to see his Reds come out unscathed against the physical Forest.
“We could’ve done in many moments better, but Nottingham were super physical in one-on-one challenges and too many moments we couldn’t clear,” Klopp told the Premier League website.
“But apart from that I’m really pleased because it was hard work but we did it," he added.
