The Super Eagles of Nigeria have already qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Nigeria booked a spot at the African football festival even before they play the Cheetah of Benin Republic in a matchday 5 group Group D fixture in Abidjan,
Rwanda 0-1 Libya
Following Rwanda's 1-0 loss to Libya in the other group match in Kigali, the squad coached by Austin Eguavoen qualified for the AFCON.
Substitute Fahd Saad Mohamed scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Even if Rwanda defeats the Super Eagles on Monday in Uyo, they will not finish higher than the three-time African champions because of their shocking home setback, which puts them at five points from five games.
However, with tonight's match against Nigeria still to come, Rwanda is still putting a lot of pressure on second-place Benin, who also have six points.
With four points, Libya is still at the bottom of the standings and will play their final Group D match against Benin on Monday.
