Ugochukwu was brought in as a substitute alongside Onuachu in the second half and immediately made an impact in the game.

The striker scored the second goal for his team, but it was not enough to complete a comeback for the Saints.

Onuachu praises Ugochukwu 

Onuachu headed in from a Mateus Fernandes corner during added time to bring Southampton closer, but the comeback fell short in a 3-2 defeat.

Onuachu was full of praise for his teammate following his contribution to Southampton’s attempted comeback against Forest.

According to Southampton’s official website, he said, “Of course, the whole team in the second half, they were full of energy, Lesley was brilliant again, an amazing player to watch.

“It was disappointing that we lose, but of course, as a striker, you have confidence that you get the first goal for Saints and I think the fans will be happy for me.”

Against Forest, Ugochukwu came off the bench and immediately made an impression at the City Ground.

When he came off the bench against Forest at the City Ground, Ugochukwu made an instant impression.

Onuachu gave fellow replacement Ugochukwu a flawless knockdown, and his shot bounced off Jan Bednarek to give the Saints their first goal.
