LALIGA is more honest than Champions League — Barcelona coach makes interesting admission
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has stated that winning LaLiga remains the truest measure of a team’s strength, even as his team chases Champions League glory.
The German tactician made the remark ahead of Barcelona's match against Real Valladolid, emphasising the seriousness with which they will take the game against a team that has already been relegated.

What Flick said
“La Liga is back; that's the most important thing. It's the most 'honest' title because you play a whole season for it,” he said in the pre-match press conference. “For the moment, Valladolid is in the first division, so we're focusing on that.”
The comments were made during the pre-match press briefing in Barcelona, where Flick fielded questions about his side’s LaLiga ambitions, as the Valladolid game is sandwiched between their semi-final clash against Inter.
Barcelona drew against the Nerazurri in the first leg, and it's all to play for at Guiseppe Meazza next week. Barcelona are currently four points ahead of Real Madrid in the LALIGA title race, and there have been suggestions that the German would rotate heavily, with the focus on next Tuesday's game. However, Flick played down the idea, reinforcing that the LALIGA is the primary target.
While the Champions League is widely regarded as the most prestigious club competition, Flick and other veteran managers like Pep Guardiola have been consistent in saying that league titles represent a more accurate reflection of a team's quality and resilience.
