Kishane Thompson set for 60m battle against world indoor champion in Stockholm
Jamaica's sprint king Kishane Thompson will face a formidable test in world indoor champion Jeremiah Azu when they race in the men's 60m event at the BAUHAUS Indoor Gala in Stockholm on January 22nd.
The Olympic and world silver medallist will kick off his season at the Puma JAAA Fuller Anderson Development Meet this weekend, on January 17, gunning to record an impressive time to build his momentum ahead of a loaded 2026 season.
Last year, at the same meet, he ran his 60m personal best of 6.48s, which set the perfect foundation for a memorable season.
Meanwhile, this time in Stockholm, Thompson tops the list of stars in a respectable field that includes Azu, Italy's 60m specialist Samuele Ceccarelli, and his compatriot Rohad Watson, who are all capable of securing the needed victory.
