‘It’s a great feeling’ - AC Milan legend Kaka welcomed by fans before UCL clash against Liverpool

The Brazilian made a name for himself at AC Milan during his playing days, winning the Serie A and Champions League.

The legend went on to win the Ballon d’Or award in 2007 after an excellent season with the Italian giants.

Kaka went on to make 307 appearances, scoring 104 and providing 81 assists for Milan before moving to Real Madrid.

Kaka made an appearance during Milan’s Champions League clash with Liverpool, with fans singing his praises.

The 42-year-old was interviewed before the game and he expressed how happy he was to see the fans celebrate him.

In an interview with Milan TV, via SempreMilan, Kaka said, “Mamma Mia there are a lot of emotions.

"Every time I come to San Siro it’s a great feeling, great memories, the fans… Really, my heart… There are no words to describe this moment.

“It’s a big history with Liverpool: 2005, 2007. They were a big part of my career and a big part of my life.”

The interviewer gave Kaka a shirt with his name on it, which he will wear at the Milan Legends game in Georgia in a few days for Sport for Change and Fondazione Milan.

He continued, “I can’t wait to play in this shirt again. It’s always nice to see old friends again and play with them. It’s special. AC Milan is special to me.”

Despite Kaka’s presence, AC Milan lost their first Champions League game at the San Siro against Liverpool.

The English side defeated the Italian side 3-1 to claim their first victory in their race to win the trophy.
