Italy legend Roberto Baggio beaten by thugs during Euro 2024 and rushed to hospital

Baggio was watching Italy's 1-0 loss to Spain at Euro 2024 last night when the shocking incident took place.

According to reports, the former forward went through a nightmare that lasted about forty minutes at home.

The 57-year-old was later rushed to the hospital after having many bruises on his body due to the incident.

Baggio and his family were the victims of a home invasion yesterday during Italy’s clash against Spain.

According to Corriere del Veneto, as reported by the Sun, the “serious attack” happened in the Altavilla Vicentina villa of the former Ballon d'Or winner. 

Five individuals with guns reportedly broke into Baggio's house, and he attempted to fight them back.

However, he and his loved ones found themselves imprisoned in a closet as the valiant star was unable to repel them.

After that, the thieves stole jewellery and watches from Baggio's house before he was able to escape and call the police.

Following the attack, which police are currently looking into, the Italian had to spend the night in his local hospital and required stitches.
