The Brazilian described the feeling of losing at the Gtech Community Stadium as "horrible," particularly given the high expectations at Old Trafford.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Cunha emphasized the difficult atmosphere within the squad.

“[The mood] is horrible. Honestly, horrible. I always say the same, we know how important it is to play for a club like this one, and we go for every game to win,” he said.

Cunha stressed that desire is not enough and called for greater effort from everyone on the pitch.

“For it not to end like that, it is a horrible feeling. Everyone wanted to do more; everyone needs to do more. Of course, we need to go again; that is only the way.”

The result leaves manager Ruben Amorim's side struggling in 14th position in the Premier League table after six games.
