The report claims there's a €10 million disparity between where both parties currently are in the negotiations, as the Serie A side want €25 million to part ways with their midfield star.

Despite having a contract with them until 2026, the Nerazzurri are reportedly open to selling the player whose prominence in the side has waned, starting only 19 league games, compared to the previous season's 35.

And although he started in the Champions League final, he started neither game against AC Milan in the semi-final.

The Spanish international has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan as the Nerrazurri prepare for the possible exit of Andre Onana, a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
