'I just have that feeling' - Amorim confident Fernandes will stay at Manchester United
Reports suggest Al-Hilal is prepared to pay £100 million ($134.6m) for the Portuguese midfielder.
The midfielder has been Manchester United's best player this season despite their disappointing campaign.
Amorim speaks on Bruno's departure
Amorim has expressed confidence that Fernandes will stay put. He suggested that the 30-year-old captain sees positive changes happening at Old Trafford and wants to be a part of them.
"I don't think he'll leave," Amorim told reporters via Sky Sports. "I think he's seeing us taking actions to change things, and I think he wants to stay.
"He's saying no to a lot of things, but he shows he wants to win. He’s still relatively young, he’s very good, he needs to be in the best league in the world."
When questioned about United's ability to refuse such a substantial offer, Amorim responded, "Yes, we can find other ways to earn money. Of course, I’m the manager, but sometimes it’s the player’s decision.
"I talk with him, I explain things. I just have that feeling he wants to stay. Of course, he was frustrated in many games this season, but he knows what we are doing. Every time I speak with him, he wants to continue at Manchester United, but you never know.”
Fernandes has been instrumental for Manchester United, contributing significantly to their performance this season with 185 goal contributions in 290 appearances.
While some believe the club should capitalize on the offer, Amorim clearly disagrees. Fernandes's contract with Manchester United runs until 2027. Only time will tell if he will remain at Old Trafford or be tempted by the riches of the Saudi Pro League.
