Moffi, who arrived on loan from OGC Nice days before the close of the January transfer window, was brought in following a season-ending injury to Samu Aghehowa.

While acknowledging that fellow forward Deniz Gul is currently ahead in the pecking order, the Italian coach emphasized that the Nigerian international is "close" and could be ready for a starting role soon.

"When could he be a starter? Soon. We have Deniz at the moment, who is a step ahead," Farioli explained.

"In the coming weeks, we'll need both of them to help us maintain a very high level."

Before his move to Porto, Moffi's last competitive game was for OGC Nice in a 3-1 loss to FC Lorient on November 30. Following that match, both he and teammate Jeremy Boga were sidelined after a reported confrontation with club supporters.

Moffi is focused on securing regular playing time, rediscovering his top form, and forcing his way back into the Super Eagles setup.
