He helped me to become a better player - Moises Caicedo praises Liam Rosenior’s impact at Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has lauded the early impact of coach Liam Rosenior, revealing that the pair have been working closely together since he arrived at Chelsea.
The Ecuador international expressed his appreciation for Rosenior’s coaching style and the individual attention he has received in recent weeks.
What Caicedo said
Reflecting on a recent result, Caicedo admitted the team was disappointed not to secure maximum points but believes there are clear signs of progress.
Caicedo credited Rosenior for contributing positively to the team’s development and maintaining high standards on the training ground.
The 24-year-old also revealed details of his first conversation with the new coach, describing how Rosenior immediately focused on helping him refine his game.
“Every game we want to win, so we were very disappointed to get just one point,” Caicedo told the club’s official website.
He added, “But I think we are doing very well. We are learning from our mistakes.”
“Liam is doing well, too. We are happy to have him here and every day we are working hard. Every day we are doing what he wants and we are doing it on the pitch in games.
“The first day he came in, I had a meeting with him. We talked about myself because he watched a lot of our games, especially me.
“For sure he wants to help me to become an even better player; that’s why he came here as well. It’s so good to hear that because it helps you a lot to keep doing well and keep improving,” Caicedo explained.
