Harambee Stars Unmoved in FIFA Ranking as Tanzania Improve, Uganda Drop

Harambee Stars’ non-involvement in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has seen them fail to gain on the FIFA ranking as they remained unchanged.

Kenya missed a third successive AFCON tournament as Africa turned their attention to Morocco for the last one month with the tournament ending on Sunday when Senegal beat the hosts 1-0 to win their second continental title.

Following the update made on Monday, Kenya remained unmoved in position 113 with neighbours Tanzania moving two places up to position 110 after making it to the Round of 16 at AFCON 2025 for the first time in their history.

Cameroon and Nigeria Biggest Climbers

Uganda, meanwhile, have dropped three places to position 88, having been eliminated at the group stages of AFCON 2025 without winning a match.

Nigeria and Cameroon are the biggest climbers after both moved up 12 places, the Super Eagles now placed in position 26 after finishing third at AFCON 2025 while the Indomitable Lions are 45th, having exited the tournament at the quarter-final.

Morocco are still the top ranked African nation at position eight in the world, having moved up three places while Senegal remain second on the continent but now 12th in the world after moving up seven places.
