Super Falcons of Nigeria striker Gift Monday has taken steps towards financial security in her career.
Monday has signed a three-season contract extension with Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa.
She will be a member of the team until 2027 thanks to the club's official signing of a new contract with the player and Sergio Batista, the president of UD Tenerife.
By keeping the players on the club longer, the organization supports the team's ability to battle for its goals under the idea of consolidating the sporting project.
The Nigerian forward's renewal in this instance is a statement of purpose along that route.
Batista acknowledged this, saying the club "wants to maintain the group."
He said, "We want to build a solid future by extending contracts until 2027 of those players that we consider important.
"There is no doubt that Gift Monday is one of them.
“She is a young footballer, with a great future, good performance and who has adapted to the Island,” he assured
Gift Monday, on her part, expressed her gratitude for this contract renewal.
Monday thinks she'll have more choices to support the group's success.
She said, “I thank God for this opportunity.”
“My dream is to help the team, contribute with positivity to achieve victories, to win more games.
“The support of the entire club always, the love of all her teammates and the environment in general.
“To give my best to give them the results they want.”
In her third season at the Tenerife club, Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa, Monday who wears the number 21, has scored 11 goals in 49 Liga F games.
Last season, she scored six goals, which helped her tie Jassina Blom for the team lead in goals scored.
