Ghana took the lead in the 24th minute through a clinical strike 18-year-old Dreams FC forward Musibau Aziz.

This goal propelled Ghana to a deserved halftime lead, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Nigeria, however, showcased their resilience in the second half and grabbed an equaliser in the 83rd minute through Abdulai Muhammed.
