Former KCCA Leopards guard perishes in work accident

Former KCCA Leopards guard Florence Kalume is dead.

The Burundian was confirmed to have died following an accident at work in the US.

Pulse Sports is yet to establish the details of the accident.

Fondly referred to as Fofo in basketball circles, Kalume featured for the Leopards in 2016 and is one of the best players to have played the game in East Africa.

She played as a point guard and was an entertainer on the floor. She played for the Cincinnati Bercats in the US and the Burundi National Team.

She was 32 years old at the time of her demise.
