Express, Villa rescheduled after Masaza collision

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League fixture between Express FC and SC Villa has found a new date following a clash in schedule with the Masaza Cup final, Pulse Sports has learnt.

According to the SUPL fixture for the second round, Express was supposed to host rivals Villa at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on March 4th.

The organizing committee also fixed the delayed 2022 Masaza Cup final on the same date and venue. This called for the rescheduling of either event.

And it is the SUPL game that has moved to a new date; therefore, the encounter between arch-rivals Express and Villa will be played the following day on March 5th.

Express and Villa share the same grounds this season, and when the latter hosted the former in the first round, they defeated them 2-0.

The pending Masaza Cup final is between holders Buddu Ssaza and Busiro Ssaza. The former will be hoping to become the first team to defend the title.
