Express FC's new technical team dives straight into business (VIDEO)
Seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC confirmed the appointment of tactician Baker Mbowa as their new head coach on Monday.
Mbowa came in as a direct replacement for Alex Isabirye, who left the club over the weekend after about three months in the seat.
The Red Eagles also confirmed that Sulaiman Mutyaba would deputize Mbowa for the next two years.
"The club wishes to announce Abubaker Mbowa as the new head coach and Sulaiman Mutyaba as his assistant on a two year's contract," Express wrote in a brief statement.
"This comes after coach Alex Isabirye and the club decided to part ways along with assistant coach Augustine Nsumba."
Meanwhile, hours after the appointment, Mbowa and Mutyaba dived straight into business, giving a self induction-like team talk, before getting on with training.
After exiting the Stanbic Uganda Cup under the watch of legend Hassan Mubiru to BUL FC, Express will shift focus to the Uganda Premier League.
