Barcelona is taking concrete steps to acquire Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.
The England international struggled at Manchester United before leaving on loan to Aston Villa to rejuvenate his form.
With the forward looking sharp in the second half of the season, Barcelona have made a move to sign him, with Man United giving their asking price.
Barcelona make Rashford move
According to Catalan newspaper "Sport," a meeting took place this morning between the England international's agent and Barcelona's sporting director, Deco.
Rumours of Barcelona's interest in Rashford surfaced as early as January. Deco himself admitted two weeks ago that he admired both Luis Diaz and Rashford.
Signing a winger is a priority for the club's summer recruitment, and the Liverpool player was reportedly their top target. However, that transfer would be more difficult to execute, and the Colombian commands a higher fee.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is asking for around £40 million for Rashford. The player himself is reportedly keen on a move to Barcelona.
According to "Sport," the Spanish champions hope to acquire Rashford on loan with an option to buy, thus minimizing the financial burden on the club.
