According to CaughtOffside,via Fichajes, Real Betis have put themselves in pole position to make an offer to the unemployed goalkeeper.

De Gea received offers from Saudi Arabia over the summer but stood firm in his decision to continue his career in Europe, turning down the possibility of a final huge payday.
Valencia were also interested in the 30-year-old but it appears Betis have stolen a march on their LaLiga rivals.
De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and went on to make 545 appearances - the most by any goalkeeper in the club's history.
