Chukwueze cameo as Napoli defeat AC Milan, put pressure on Inter in title race

Napoli head into the game needing a win to close the gap in the Serie A table after Inter defeated Udinese.

They had to overcome a difficult AC Milan team, defeating them 2-1 on the night to move within three points of Inter.

Samuel Chukwueze resumed his bench role as he returned to AC Milan after starting the Super Eagles World Cup qualifying games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Just 20 minutes into the match, Napoli scored two goals from Matteo Politano and Romelu Lukaku, taking control of the first half. 

Napoli controlled most of the second half, but their lack of concentration towards full time gave AC Milan a lifeline.

In the 84th minute, Luka Jovic found himself in acres of space after latching on to a precise pass into the box to make the game 2-1.

The visitors piled more pressure on the home side, but they held on until the final whistle to earn the three points.
