This fixture marks Liam Rosenior's first Premier League home game in charge of the Blues, and with the visitors currently sitting above them in the table, there is pressure on the host to secure a victory.

Chelsea come into this fixture seeking stability after a turbulent period that saw Enzo Maresca depart and Liam Rosenior take the reins. 

The Blues suffered a narrow 2-1 away defeat against Fulham in their last Premier League outing, followed by a disappointing 3-2 loss to Arsenal in the League Cup semi-final first leg on Wednesday.

Brentford have lost just one of their last eight meetings with Chelsea. The Bees have found Stamford Bridge to be a happy hunting ground, always finding a way to avoid defeat.

The last encounter between these two sides took place in 2025, resulting in a 2-2 draw, with their second meeting also ending in a 0-0 draw.
