What Guardiola said

Guardiola highlighted the impressive progress Arteta has made in building a dominant and consistent side capable of competing on all fronts.

“Right now, Arsenal are the best team in the world,” Guardiola said during his press conference.

Guardiola explained that his assessment was based on Arsenal’s performances across multiple competitions this season.

“Look in the Champions League, look in the Premier League, look at the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, so they are the best team right now,” he added.

Arsenal’s ability to deliver high-level performances consistently has set them apart from their rivals, including City.

Despite Guardiola’s admiration, the City boss acknowledged the difficulty of closing the gap at the top of the table. Arsenal currently sit seven points clear of the reigning champions after 22 Premier League matches.
