Basketball star Jones-Garcia signs two-way contract with San Antonio Spurs

The Dominican guard impressed at the Las Vegas Summer League, earning the Spurs' trust.

Jones-Garcia, who made his debut for the Dominican Republic national team in the FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers this year, also had an outstanding G-League season, earning All-Rookie First Team honours with averages of 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

David Jones-Garcia, who had previously drawn interest from Olympiacos, has signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs.

This confirms his desire to remain in the NBA, as first reported by ESPN's Shams Charania, via Sportal

The two-way contract allows Jones-Garcia to play for both the Spurs and their G-League affiliate without impacting the salary cap.

The young guard, capable of playing all three perimeter positions, averaged 21.6 points (with 52.9% from three-point range), 6.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 24.9 minutes across five Summer League games.
