Back off - Agent shut down move as Newcastle make shocking move for Lautaro Martínez
The Magpies are reportedly searching for a striker to replace Alexander Isak, who is said to be firm in his decision to move to Liverpool.
The Swedish international has decided that he is not going to play for the club again and is pushing for a move this summer.
Agent shuts down Martinez's move
Newcastle United have shown interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez, but such a transfer is not on the agenda, according to the player's agent, Alejandro Camaño.
According to the Argentinian branch of Fox Sports, via Sportal, representatives from the Premier League club contacted the agent, who reportedly did not even answer the call.
"A call from Newcastle? Lautaro plays for Inter, the European runners-up. He is the team captain and is happy at the club. Some questions don't need an answer," Camaño stated.
Meanwhile, Eddie Howe continues to ask the club for a forward following Isak's decision, claiming they can't go a whole season without a striker.
