Arsenal are confident that star winger Bukayo Saka will return to action later this month, with the club targeting his comeback for the highly anticipated North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
Saka was a surprise late withdrawal from Arsenal’s Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Chelsea after picking up a hip strain during the warm-up for last weekend’s Premier League clash against Leeds United. His absence raised immediate concerns among supporters, given his importance to Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, there is growing optimism within the club that the injury is not serious. According to reports, Arsenal’s medical team believe the issue will only sideline the England international for around two weeks, putting him on track to be available for the February 22 showdown with Spurs.
The 22-year-old has been a key figure for the Gunners this season, contributing goals, assists, and a relentless attacking threat, and his potential return would be a major boost as Arsenal enter a demanding run of fixtures.
In Saka’s absence, Arsenal will face Sunderland in the Premier League this Saturday before travelling to Brentford next Thursday. They will then host Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup before making the short trip across north London for the derby.
