Angola clinched their record-extending 12th FIBA AfroBasket title with a commanding 70-43 victory over Mali in the final held on home soil.
To book a place in the final Angola defeated Cameroon, while Mali advanced by knocking out Senegal in their respective semi-final matchups.

The game began with Angola taking the first quarter 14-10, establishing early control.
They extended their dominance in the second quarter, outscoring Mali 18-10 to secure a 12-point lead at the halftime break.
Angola continued their relentless performance in the third quarter, with a 19-11 run to stretch their lead to 19 points.
Despite Mali mounting runs in the fourth quarter, Angola held firm, taking the final period 19-12 to record a decisive 27-point blowout win.
The victory came after Senegal defeated Mali to take home the bronze medal earlier that day.
Top performers for Angola included Childe Dundao, who led with 16 points and 5 assists, alongside Selton Miguel with 12 points and Eduardo Francisco contributing nine points.
Angola with their 12th continental crown ended Tunisia’s recent reign, which included titles in 2017 and 2021.
