Carlos Alcaraz showcased an exceptional level of play. In New York, he was simply unstoppable, even for the Italian who was the defending US Open champion. Alcaraz triumphed convincingly in the grand final with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

And after the match, as tradition dictates, he delivered his champion's speech.

“I want to start with Jannik; what you're doing throughout the entire season is incredible – a fantastic level at every tournament. I see you more than my own family; it's wonderful to share the court and the locker room with you. Watching you improve every day with your excellent team – congratulations on everything."

"To my team and family – I'm happy to have you. You strive to make me better, not just professionally but personally. I'm proud to have such people around me; you are responsible for every success I achieve. That's true for today's win as well. I love you all. This is incredibly special for me. These three weeks I've spent here have been a privilege. I felt at home; the energy is incredible.” - Carlos Alcaraz

Sinner admitted he had no answers for Alcaraz on the court this week.

“Congratulations to Carlos and his team. A lot of hard work has gone into this. He was magnificent and deserved the win. Thank you to my team for their support and understanding. We know how dedicated we are. This has been an incredible season, many great matches, and I'm happy to share this moment with you, my family at home, and my friends. I gave my best, but I couldn't do more. This place is special, and I'm glad to be on this court; we all try to put on the best show possible.” - Jannik Sinner

It's worth noting that this year, in addition to the US Open, Alcaraz also won the French Open, while Sinner claimed titles at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
