Israel "Izzy" Adesanya has spoken out about his defeat to the current UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis, following months of vicious taunts.

Even though he accepted his loss, he insisted that "Africa" should have won.

While Dricus was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Izzy was born and raised in Nigeria and currently resides in New Zealand.

On Saturday, August 17, Izzy sent out his first Twitter following his defeat at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia. In it, he wished Dricus du Plessis well.

Even though they had previously disagreed about who the "true African champion" was, Izzy was kind in his compliments to Dricus.
