The stage is set for the knockout phase of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, with the Round of 16 matchups finalised following a captivating group stage that showcased the continent's premier football talent.

The first knockout round will unfold from Saturday, January 3, to Tuesday, January 6. Two matches will be played each day, with kick-off times scheduled for 17:00 and 20:00 local time (16:00 and 19:00 GMT), as the remaining teams vie for a spot in the quarter-finals.

The action kicks off on Saturday when 2021 champions Senegal face Sudan at the Grand Stade de Tangier. Later that evening, Mali will take on Tunisia at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, with Mali aiming for their first-ever continental title and Tunisia hoping to replicate their 2004 victory.

On Sunday, host nation Morocco will play Tanzania at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, backed by an expectant home crowd as they continue their quest for a first AFCON trophy in 50 years.

The Atlas Lions topped Group A, while Tanzania advanced as one of the best third-placed teams. Later, South Africa will clash with Cameroon at Rabat's Al Medina Stadium in a match that pits coach Hugo Broos against the nation he led to glory in 2017.

Monday's fixtures will see record seven-time winners Egypt, who are seeking their first title since 2010, play against Benin at the Grand Stade de Agadir.

Following that, Nigeria, one of the most impressive teams in the group stage and runners-up in 2023, will meet Mozambique at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

The Round of 16 concludes on Tuesday with two compelling matchups. Algeria will face the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Stade Prince Heritier Moulay El Hassan in Rabat.

The final knockout game will feature defending champions Côte d’Ivoire against Burkina Faso at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for January 9-10, with the tournament final set to take place on January 18 at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah.
