AFCON 2025: 5 Super Eagles Players to Watch in Morocco

The excitement in Nigeria is growing as the competition kicks off on the 21st of December, with the Super Eagles facing Tanzania on Tuesday.

The team arrived in Morocco with high spirits and head coach Eric Chelle hopes to erase the sadness on the faces of fans with the trophy after failing to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the team looking to make Nigerians proud, we take a look at the top five Super Eagles Players to Watch during this important competition. 

Victor Osimhen is widely considered to be the most dangerous striker on the African continent and in the world. He has incredible speed and a very strong finishing ability that makes him a nightmare for any defender. 

He plays his club football in Turkey for Galatasaray and has been scoring goals regularly. A very impressive statistic for Osimhen is that he was the top scorer during the AFCON 2023 qualification series, where he scored 10 goals in just six matches.
