Moro Ojomo Best in the World - Nigerian celebrates winning Super Bowl victory with Philadelphia Eagles
Following the Philadelphia Eagles' 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, the Nigerian-American defensive tackle Moro Ojomo celebrated his first Super Bowl championship.
With two total tackles and a tackle for loss at the end of the game, he was a vital member of the Eagles' defence in the victory.
Through his efforts, Philadelphia was able to shut down Patrick Mahomes and prevent the Chiefs from scoring for over three quarters.
The youngster took to his official Instagram account to show off his latest achievement.
Along with the Nigerian flag, Ojomo put out a message that said, "Best in the world."
He helped limit the Chiefs' attack for a large portion of the game in the Super Bowl, finishing with two total tackles and a tackle for loss.
Ojomo's accomplishments join those of C.J. Uzomah, Chukwuebuka Godrick, Chris Oladokun, Charles Omenihu, and other sportsmen of Nigerian heritage who have made an impact in the NFL.
Who is Moro Ojomo
He started playing football in Texas and soon made a name for himself before being drafted into the NFL.
Ojomo was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and immigrated to the US when he was eight years old.
The Eagles in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft selected Ojomo and has gradually established himself as a member of the defensive line.
He finished the season with 20 total tackles while participating in all four playoff games and all 17 regular-season games.
Ojomo earned five tackles and one sack during the Eagles' playoff run, helping them defeat Green Bay, Los Angeles, and Washington before defeating Kansas City to win the championship.
