Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala made history in the 2024 NWSL playoffs.
The veteran forward was in action for Bay FC as they made their first playoff appearance.
In their debut season in the NWSL, Bay FC decided to recruit Oshoala from Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino side in Spain Barcelona

After picking up one of the playoff spots, Bay FC had the challenge of facing top-seeded Washington Spirit.
There were no goals in the first half as both sides were compact at the back.
The second half was more of the same until Hocking found Oshoala who converted the cross to put Bay FC ahead in the 82nd minute.
The lead did not last for long as Washington Spirit equalized through Tara McKeown in the 86th minute.
The game was tied after 90 minutes as they progressed to extra time.
Caprice Dydasco would score an own goal in the 96th minute that would prove to be the winner.
Bay FC could not find an equalizer to send the game to penalties and were knocked out of the NWSL playoffs.
Oshoala who was missing from the Super Falcons for the friendly games against Algeria is expected to return when they face off against the Les Bleues of France.
