Kamarudeen Usman, an American and Nigerian mixed martial artist, has been a strong force in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) despite successes and setbacks.

He explained that, unexpectedly, he began earning more money than before after losing his first battle to Buster Douglas.

This came as a result of Tyson's failure opening the door for bookmakers to speculate on him losing subsequent matches, raising the stakes' monetary value.

Usman joins in to discuss the defeat after just losing his second fight to Edwards.

Usman said, “I feel like I’m kind of in a space where it was almost like people were more upset that I lost than I was.

"People were devastated and I get all the messages all the time ‘no you are good, you gonna get this back, and this and that.’ And I’m fully aware that I’m the best welterweight fighter for sure in the division.”

In the podcast conversation, Kamaru Usman revealed that despite his most recent defeat, he has reignited his love for the game and the training regimen.

Usman said he is entirely committed to pushing himself to new levels since he finds the process of training for a fight to be so fascinating.

Usman's commitment and fresh zeal for the UFC promise well for his future, and fans should expect to see him continue to excel in the octagon.
