Arsenal have been on a role in the Champions League this season, racking up an 11-0 aggregate scoreline.

Mikel Arteta has overseen a club record eight-match winning streak in the group stage/league phase of this competition, and with his team unbeaten at the Emirates Stadium since May (W9, D1), it would be brave to bet against them here.

Meanwhile, Bayern are probably the only team in Europe that can claim to be in better form than the Gunners.

They’ve won 17 of their 18 competitive games this term (D1), including, recovering from a two-goal deficit to thrash Freiburg 6-2 on Saturday to cement their lead at the Bundesliga summit.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: Head-to-Head

Arsenal have faced Bayern Munich more frequently than any other side in the Champions League, with 14 previous meetings.

Worryingly for the Gunners, they have failed to win any of the last five head-to-heads (one draw, four defeats). This dominance was underlined when Bayern narrowly edged them out with a 3-2 win on aggregate in the Quarter-Finals of the 2023/24 edition.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: Team News

On the positive side for Arsenal, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli returned to the bench on Sunday, Viktor Gyokeres (hamstring) and captain Martin Odegaard (knee) remain serious doubts. Gabriel Magalhaes (hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (ACL), and Kai Havertz (knee setback) are definitely unavailable this week.

Bayern will have to make do without one of their best players this season, as Luis Diaz's three-match Champions League suspension for his red card against PSG, rules him out for this one.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: Prediction & Betting Tips

Arsenal have been excellent this season, in attack and in defence, but they have dropped points against Liverpool, Manchester City, and Sunderland.

Bayern Munich represent arguably their biggest test yet, and we think the visitors will be good enough to avoid defeat here.
