'It runs in the family' - Nigerian music star Skales links up with Yamal’s mother to perform viral dance step

Following a widely circulated video clip, Spanish national team players Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, and Samu Aghehowa were seen dancing to the song, which has since attracted significant attention on social media.

The spontaneous dance by the three individuals sparked the widely popular Shake Body trend, leading to a notable increase in Skales' streaming numbers.

Capitalising on the resurgence of his 2015 track "Shake Body", Skales amplified the song's visibility during a trip to Spain by engaging with Lamine Yamal's relatives.

Skales recently appeared in an online video dancing with Lamine Yamal's mother, Sheila Ebana, and his brother Keyne.

Skales, visibly thrilled, shared a video on X, with the caption: "I just met Lamine Yamal’s mom!! Now I see it runs in the family!!! Oya Shakebody." 

Captured in Sevilla, the moment precedes Barcelona's Copa del Rey final clash against Real Madrid at Estadio La Cartuja in the same city.

The video has already attracted considerable attention, with many continuing to enjoy the song.

The popularity of this song extends beyond Spanish footballers, with Swedish international Simon Gudmundsson and ex-Juventus player Arturo Vidal also seen enjoying the popular track.

Following Lamine Yamal's popular dance, the song experienced a significant surge in popularity, with streams increasing by 26% to almost one million within a single week.
