Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen's future is still up in the air, with no definite direction at the moment
Victor Osimhen's future remains one of football’s most unpredictable sagas, and according to respected Italian pundit Alfredo Pedullà, the story is far from over.
Despite turning down a jaw-dropping offer from Al Hilal, the Saudi giants aren’t backing down just yet, and Pedullà insists anything is still possible.
Osimhen’s complicated Al Hilal saga
Pedullà, speaking on The Italian Football Podcast, didn’t sugarcoat the situation, saying, “He’s one of the most complicated players in the history of the market.”
)
And he has a point. Last summer, Osimhen shocked many by choosing Galatasaray on loan, despite interest from heavyweight clubs and a massive proposal from Saudi side Al Hilal.
That offer reportedly included €35 million per year, with bonuses pushing it to €40 million. Still, Osimhen said no.
)
According to Pedullà, the Nigerian striker simply doesn’t want to go to Saudi Arabia, not now, not at 27. “He’d get tired after a week,” the pundit claimed.
But Pedullà also added, “With money, you can convince anyone,” leaving the door ever-so-slightly ajar. Al Hilal may yet try again after the Club World Cup.
Premier League, Juventus, Galatasaray still hopeful
The alternatives aren’t straightforward either. Juventus are interested but cannot activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause since Napoli made sure it only applies to clubs outside Italy.
)
And with Cristiano Giuntoli, the director who signed Osimhen for Napoli, no longer pulling strings at Juve, their chances have dipped.
Galatasaray are quietly optimistic but would struggle to match the financial muscle needed, despite the Nigerian striker’s love for the club.

Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United remain linked, but none have made a concrete move. For now, Osimhen’s future is a day-to-day puzzle.
