The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star, now playing for his boyhood club in the twilight of his career, has scored just once in competitive matches this season.

It's no surprise, then, that he celebrated wildly when he thought he'd beaten Internacional goalkeeper Sergio Rochet.

No Goal, No Celebration

Neymar volleyed a powerful shot that looked destined for the back of the net, as reported by Sportal.

The Brazilian immediately sprinted towards the corner flag, kicking it in celebration, convinced he'd scored.

However, Rochet managed to get a touch, deflecting the ball onto the post and then scrambling to gather it right on the goal line.

Neymar didn't realize play hadn't stopped. While euphorically waiting for his teammates to embrace him, the ball was already at the other end of the pitch. An awkward silence followed – there was no celebration because there was no goal.
