Nigerian international Rasheedat Ajibade has officially parted ways with Atlético Madrid Femenino, bringing to a close a distinguished chapter in her football journey that spanned four and a half seasons.
The Spanish club confirmed her departure over the weekend, celebrating her lasting impact both on and off the pitch.
Ajibade, who joined the Rojiblancas in January 2021 from the Norwegian side Avaldsnes IL, leaves behind an impressive legacy. Over her tenure, she made 139 appearances and netted 40 goals, contributing to Atlético's attacking prowess and helping the team to two major titles, the 2021 Spanish Super Cup and the 2023 Copa de la Reina.
In a video shared on social media channels, Atlético Madrid praised Ajibade’s contributions, highlighting her technical brilliance, pace, and eye for goal.

Ajibade was among four players honoured during Atlético’s dominant 5–0 win over Levante Las Planas on the final day of the season at the Alcalá de Henares Sports Centre.
Alongside Marta Cardona, Ainhoa Moraza, and Merle Barth, she was given an emotional send-off in front of home supporters.
Speaking to fans after the match, Ajibade expressed heartfelt gratitude for her time in Madrid.
“It’s a mixture of emotions. I’m grateful to my teammates, the coaching staff, the entire club, and especially the fans. You’ve all been a part of this incredible journey. Thank you for everything,” she said.
