Victor Osimhen: Super Eagles star given new release clause with one condition
Osimhen recently completed his move to Galatasaray on a season loan deal after a long summer of transfer saga.
The Super Eagles striker had a fallout with the club hierarchy after a tumultuous summer transfer saga.
Despite the fallout, Pulse Sports reported that he was going to sign a one-year contract extension, which would include a new release clause.
Osimhen’s new release clause
Napoli have added a new release clause to Osimhen’s contract as they look to let him go next summer transfer window.
According to Nicolò Schira on X, “Victor #Osimhen’s new release clause (€75M) will be valid only from July 2025 and for foreign clubs (not Italian).”

Osimhen’s new release clause is €75 million (133 billion naira), the new price tag set on the Super Eagles star.
The new release clause set by Napoli is valid until July 2025 and will expire after the fixed date elapses.
Napoli also added a clause that is interpreted as only foreign clubs, excluding Italian teams, are allowed to pay the €75 million release clause in his contract.
Meanwhile, Osimhen arrived in Nigeria in the early hours of the morning after officially signing his deal with Galatasaray.
The striker is expected to meet up with the team in Uyo as they prepare for their AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
