Turkish football analyst Nihat Kahveci has lent his voice to the criticism of Victor Osimhen for his ultra-aggressive outing in the Derby against Besiktas.

What Kahveci said

Kahveci is a renowned Turkey football pundit. After the Istanbul Derby yesterday, a 1-1 draw between Besiktas and Galatasaray, he took to his YouTube channel to analyse the game.

He especially addressed Osimhen's aggression incident in the match, when he grabbed Emirhan Topcu by the neck. Nihat suggested that the Nigerian was the aggressor and should have been sent off.

"I don't know what's wrong with Osimhen; he's very aggressive on the pitch. He ran and fought a lot again today,” he said, per Fanatik

“There's a leg swing towards Emirhan, why can't I see a replay? That could have been a red card. If he swung his right foot and deliberately hit it, a VAR call would have given a red card. Then there was a strangling attack. Look, it's a yellow card for sure, but let's watch the replay!"

What happened

As Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen was involved in an on-pitch bust-up during the Istanbul Derby. The Nigerian grabbed Besiktas defender Emirhan by the neck amidst an argument and had to be pulled out of the scene by his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi, who plays for the Black Eagles.

The Nigerian has come under heavy criticism, with many on social media chastising the Nigerian for his involvement.
