The brewers are out to seal a place in the final as they seek a double this season while Ingwe have scores to settle with Homeboyz

Tusker FC take on crisis-hit Ulinzi Stars while AFC Leopards and Kakamega Homeboyz renew their rivalry as the FKF Cup semi-finals take centre stage at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.

Tusker, who sealed their place in the semi-final thanks to a win over KCB, are eyeing a double of league and cup success this season and take on a Ulinzi side that have been thrown into a crisis following the decision by coach Bernard Mwalala to quit the club after Saturday's match.

Robert Matano’s charges will be seeking to seal a place in the final to turn their focus on the league campaign, where they lead Gor Mahia by one point, with eyes on delivering a first double since 2016.

Their road to the semi-final has been rather dominant. They started with a thumping 7-0 win over Berlin FC. In the round of 16, they had to overturn a 2-0 first-half deficit to win 3-2 with five minutes left to play before beating KCB 2-0 in the last eight.

Ulinzi will have their work cut out as it will be interesting to see if they will manage to overcome the shock of Mwalala's resignation which was announced hours to the crucial match.

Mwalala revealed he was leaving following the match, citing 'unfavourable' working conditions, having joined the club eight months ago.

The soldiers will be seeking inspiration from Boniface Muchiri. The former Tusker winger is known for his trickery and technical ability when striking the ball, especially from set pieces.

Three hours later, Leopards will be seeking revenge against Homeboyz at the same venue.

Leopards have a score to settle with Homeboyz after the chaos that led to the abandonment of their league match at Bukhungu Stadium last month, leading to heavy sanctions on Ingwe.

Leopards were docked three points and their fans given a four-match ban from attending games by FKF. After the ban expired, Ingwe fans had threatened to boycott all matches, before the differences were resolved prior to the Mashemeji Derby against Gor Mahia last week.

Homeboyz should, therefore, expect a hostile environment at Nyayo Stadium in a match coach Patrick Aussems has termed their 'most important' of the season.

Aussems revealed that he has no many injury concerns with only Teddy Asilaba the only one not available for selection.

Musa Oundo should be a sure starter as his performances in the middle of the park have been instrumental in helping establish Ingwe's good run of form. His high energy and reading of the game defensively have been superb.

Meanwhile, Homeboyz will be seeking to get back to winning ways after losing their last two fixtures against Tusker and Nzoia Sugar.

However, they have been dealt a massive blow as winger Moses Mudavadi will be unavailable for selection, having fallen ill three days ago, before being admitted to hospital in Kakamega, according to head coach Patrick Odhiambo.
