Galatasaray could snap up a prime talent from one of their biggest rivals in the summer transfer window.
Turkish football journalist Zeki Uzundurukan has revealed that Galatasaray is emerging as a viable option for Bright Osayi-Samuel amid his contract standoff with Fenerbahce.
Uzundurukan, the editor-in-chief of Turkish outlet Fotomac, said the rivalry between both clubs would not factor into play, as Galatasaray also snapped up Michy Batshuayi from the Yellow Canaries when his contract expired. Also, he revealed that the Nigerian would be open to the move.

What he said
"Galatasaray is in the game for Osayi,” Zeki said, per GsGazette. This transfer could be like the Batshuayi move last year. Because his contract is ending and the player wants a lot of money. Would he do well at Galatasaray? He could. There is no foreigner limit anyway. He knows the league. He has no transfer fee, just give him his salary and he will play.
“Of course, the player also wants to get a chance and play, but Mourinho is not giving up on Mert Müldür there either. If he goes to Galatasaray, he will play directly. I don't think Jelert will cut Osayi. His agent is in contact with Galatasaray. He has clearly stated that they will consider Galatasaray if England doesn't work."
Osayi Samuel's contract situation
As Pulse Sports reported, the Super Eagles star's contract with Fenerbahce will expire at the end of this season, which could bring to an end his four-year association with the club.
Fenerbahce are keen on keeping him, despite the defender having lost his place in the starting lineup following Jose Mourinho's shift to a back-three formation.
They have tabled multiple contract offers to the former QPR man since last summer, all of which he has rebuffed, seeking improved terms. It is believed that Fernerbahce are not giving up yet and are preparing to make the Nigerian one of their highest-paid players.
Following the victory against Sivasspor, Osayi-Samuel was asked about his contract situation, and he said, "This is a difficult subject to comment on. It's as if people are more knowledgeable than me. Everyone talks as if they know everything. I'm happy to play for Fenerbahçe.”
“There's a perception that the contract came and I didn't accept it. I have a very good dialogue with the president. My only goal and thought is to become champions with Fenerbahçe."
